High school students experience government in process

Members of the Manatee Youth Commission, Dec. 6, got a first-hand look into government, as they spent the day at Manatee County Government Administrative building.

Students participating in the commission, an initiative to engage high school students in local decision-making, participated in “Youth in Government Day,” during which they met local county commissioners and heard from directors and staff members of several county departments.
