High Five Moments of the Week

1 - Braden River junior Ryan Walker won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles at the Class 3A-Region 3 meet Oct. 31.

2 - The Lakewood Ranch High volleyball team defeated Tarpon Springs East Lake 3-0 Oct. 29 to advance to the Class 7A-Region 3 semifinals Nov. 4.

3 - The Out-of-Door Academy girls swim team captured the school’s first district runner-up trophy at the Class 1A-District 8 meet Nov. 1.

4 - Ande McDonald crossed the finish line in 19 minutes, 58.30 seconds to finish fifth overall and lead the Lakewood Ranch girls cross-country team to a second-place finish at the Class 3A-District 10 meet Oct. 30.

5 - Lakewood Ranch residents and sisters Vanessa and Michelle Yan tied for 17th and 32nd, respectively, at the Class 1A girls golf state championship Oct. 28 and Oct. 29.
