Gans files for commission seat

Longboat Key District 3 Commissioner Terry Gans has filed for another two-year term.

Gans requested paperwork for another term this week at Longboat Key Town Hall and is listed as a candidate on the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Office website. 

Longbeach Village resident Gene Jaleski announced he will file for District 5 Commissioner Pat Zunz’ commission seat if she doesn’t seek re-election. Zunz has not announced whether she will seek re-election for another two-year term.

Gans’ filing is the third commission candidate announcement in the last week.

Armando Linde announced Oct. 4 he is running for the District 1 commission seat being vacated by Lynn Larson.

The other seat up for grabs is the At-Large seat held by Commissioner Irwin Pastor. Pastor has not announced whether he will seek re-election for another two-year term.
