Firefighters offer free CPR training course

The Longboat Key Fire Rescue Union will host a free CPR training session 9 a.m. Feb. 3 at the north fire station, 5490 Gulf of Mexico Drive.

In conjunction with the Firefighters Association and the American Heart Association’s mission to increase survival rate from cardiac arrest, the fire station will be hosting a hands only CPR program to the public that will detail the importance of CPR and the use of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs).
