FDOT meeting on Rye Road cancelled

A public information meeting tonight about the interchange of State Road 64 and Rye Road has been postponed.

The Florida Department of Transportation has cancelled the meeting due to inclement weather from Tropical Storm Hermine, but will reschedule it for later in September. Residents were going to be able to review three options for the interchange — leave it as is; signalize it; or construct a roundabout — and provide feedback to FDOT officials.

FDOT officials caution drivers not to drive through moving or standing water; to treat signalized intersections as four-way stops if power goes out; and to be cautious of downed power lines.
