Baseball

Lakewood Ranch lost 5-4 to Sarasota. Grant McCray had two RBI for the Mustangs in the loss. 

Softball

Lakewood Ranch beat Lake Region 3-1 in 16 innings. Logan Newton pitched 14 innings for the Mustangs, amassing 12 strikeouts. Avery Goelz had three hits and two RBI at the plate. 

Braden River shut out Sarasota 3-0. Ali Yawn went the distance for the Pirates, allowing just four Sailors to reach base. Yawn also went 2-3 at the plate with an RBI. 

Golf

Sandra Seley, Julia Dennis and Nancy Lopiccolo won Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club's Women's Golf Association nine-hole President's Day scramble event, shooting 27. 

At Palm Aire Country Club's Women's Golf Association Breast Health Step-A-Side nine-hole scramble event, the team of Kim Corrigan, Tina Catlow, Edeli O'Connell and Rita Probs (26) won Flight One, and Cheryl Ralston, Mary Kilanoski, Elaine Begs and Grace McLeod (26.9) won Flight Two.
