County holds capital improvement discussion

Manatee County commissioners today will discuss items to be funded in the county’s five-year Capital Improvement Plan.

The workshop is part of the overall budget discussion and begins at 1:30 p.m. at the county administrative building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. Items for discussion include the 44th Avenue East extension project, among others.

Commissioners are set to vote June 21 on whether to put a half-cent sales tax on the November ballot. Revenues from the potential tax are not included in county administrator’s proposed budget.
