Nov. 14
OVERBOARD LANDLORD

3 p.m. — 2900 block of Dixie Avenue. Civil Problem. A man called officers and informed them his landlord was always bothering him. An officer informed both the man and the landlord that the dispute was a civil issue and had to be settled through civil court.

LIFE SWAP
5:21 p.m. — 1300 block of Benjamin Franklin Drive. Miscellaneous Officer. A man called police because his driver’s license had accidentally been swapped with his co-worker’s. The man requested a case number in the event he got pulled over with the wrong identification.

DIS-ENGAGED
6:28 p.m. — 1400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way. BF/GF/Family (Living Together or Not). A man reported that he was in an argument with his fiancée stemming from counseling they had attended. The two had purchased a vehicle together four months earlier and agreed to split the payments. During the argument, the woman took the keys to the car and left. The man said he did not want the woman to get into trouble; he just wanted the car back because she was not answering her phone.

WEDDING SCRATCHER
11 p.m. — 1000 block of Benjamin Franklin Drive. Criminal Mischief. A person staying at a hotel reported his vehicle was keyed during the night. The property manager reported that she had not seen anyone suspicious overnight, and no video was available. A woman, who had held a wedding on the beach that night, reported a suspicious man had crashed the party. Officers reported that man was the only possible suspect.

Nov. 15
HEAP OF TROUBLE

4:45 p.m. — 2700 block of North Orange Avenue. Suspicion General/Unknown. A woman reported a suspicious incident and informed officers that a man has been taking garbage from her trashcan and spreading it across her front yard. The woman said the man, who is known in the community, has not said anything to her nor threatened her physically. She said she did not have any idea why he was doing that. Officers searched the area for the man with no results.

Nov. 17
ON A LIMB
8 a.m. — 1000 block of Boulevard of the Arts. Miscellaneous Public. A man staying at a hotel reported that, sometime during the morning, a large branch fell from a palm tree and damaged the passenger door of his rental car. The car was parked on the street in front of the hotel, and the tree was located on the right of way between the sidewalk and street. The man asked for a case number to provide to the rental company.
