FOUND THIS HUMERUS
5:37 p.m. — 1100 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive
Suspicious circumstance: A caller said she was walking the beach when she noticed a bone had washed up on the shore. The caller said she could not identify what type of bone it was so she called the police. The responding officer noted the bone appeared to be from a large bird.
AN AWFUL RACKET!
9:42 a.m. — 3400 block of Bayou Sound
Disturbance: An officer responded to the area in reference to a noise disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer noticed a light humming sound coming from an outside pool pump of a vacant residence. The officer conducted no further investigation.
JULY 30
GULF OF MEXICO WATERWAY
1:06 a.m. — 700 block of GMD
Public service: An officer responded in reference to several large sprinklers spraying water from a golf course into the roadway. Upon arrival, the officer counted six sprinklers spraying water over the span of several blocks, creating a potential traffic hazard. The officer made contact with the resort’s security guard who said he would alert the groundskeeper right away. A short time later, the officer noticed the sprinklers were shut off.

2:14 p.m. — 1600 block of GMD
Suspicious circumstance: A caller informed police that the word “help” was written on a sixth floor window of a vacant building on a former resort property. Upon arrival, the officer located the described window, as well as several other windows that had obscenities written on them. The officer checked the building and found it was empty.
