Strange Invite

4:05 p.m. — 500 block of

Suspicious Circumstance: A woman called police to report a flyer she found on her doorknob. The flyer included a phone number and a statement not to be late. The officer advised the caller to discard the flyer and not call the number.

Not-so-sweet

5:10 p.m. — 3800 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive

Disturbance: An officer responded to a disturbance at a pool area regarding a grill. A woman said she had cleaned off half of the grill and placed two sweet potatoes on it. She returned a short time later to find a man who had moved her food to the dirty half of the grill. The woman told police the man threatened to “knock her upside her head” when she told him he was rude. The man fled before the officer arrived. The woman was asked to call police if she had another issue with the man.

Paparazzi

10:00 a.m. — 700 block of St. Jude’s Drive

Disturbance: A man called police to report that his neighbor walks around the neighborhood and takes pictures of residents for no reason. The caller wanted to document an incident where the neighbor had stood in front of his driveway and snapped pictures of him. The officer reported he has had previous encounters with the neighbor, who always says that taking pictures is not against the law.
