62nd Street East

June 22
6:13 a.m. — 3800 block of 62nd Street East
Motor Vehicle Theft: A woman woke up and discovered her vehicle was stolen from her driveway. Three other unlocked vehicles were opened and ransacked, although nothing was reported stolen. St. Petersburg police recovered the vehicle after the suspects crashed and fled the scene.

Lena Road and State Road 64 East

June 27
1:57 a.m. — Intersection of Lena Road and State Road 64 East
Domestic Disturbance: A woman and her son had been arguing because she will not let him see his father. The son ran away without his mother’s permission to his father’s house and was upset when police told him he had to go with his mother. When the woman stopped for gas, the son ran across the road into the woods and threw his mother’s keys when she followed him before running back into the woods. The son was located and taken to his grandparents’ home.

46th Street East

June 27
8:30 p.m. — 3500 block of 46th Street East
Battery: A man confronted his daughter’s ex-boyfriend about his relationship with his daughter. The argument turned physical when the father kicked another man at the home. The ex-boyfriend tried to break up the fight, but the father then punched him as well. Both men said they did not want to press charges but wanted the incident documented.

46th Avenue Circle East

June 29
8:49 p.m. — 7100 block of 46th Avenue Circle East
Found Property: A woman discovered a knife near her mailbox while mowing the grass in her front yard.

26th Avenue East

June 30
9:22 a.m. — 3300 block of 26th Avenue East
Suspicious Incident: A woman reported seeing a “red laser illuminator” flash two times in quick succession in her direction while she sat on her porch. The woman was unsure of whether the lights were from a patrol vehicle or something else.

133rd Street East

July 2
2:44 p.m. — 300 block of 133rd Street East
Larceny: A man reported that he had friends and family members over to his house a few nights earlier. During that time, an unknown person stole a TV from his bedroom.

First Avenue East

July 3
1:14 a.m. — 14700 block of First Avenue East
Battery: A woman reported that her husband battered her and yelled profanities at her after she told him she wanted to go to an amusement park as a family. The man was planning to go to the amusement park without his wife and their children.
