Construction of University Parkway interchange starts Aug. 3

Plans for the interchange have been sent to Tallahassee for review and the $82 million project, which is completely funded, will be complete by September 2017.

The Florida Department of Transportation has circled Aug. 3 for the construction start date of the new diverging diamond University Parkway interchange at Interstate 75.

The Florida Department of Transportation has circled Aug. 3 for the construction start date of the new diverging diamond University Parkway interchange at Interstate 75.

Plans for the interchange have been sent to Tallahassee for review and the $82 million project, which is completely funded, will be complete by September 2017.

FDOT has ordered a temporary bridge for the median of I-75 while the interchange project is constructed.

FDOT will review bids from potential contractors for the project in May.
