Connecticut Club seeks members

The Connecticut Club of Sarasota/Bradenton/Venice is now seeking members.

Anyone who has or has had a connection with the state can join at a cost of $12 per year.

Now in its 18^th year, the Connecticut Club boasts 100 members. The club hosts monthly dinners from November through April at different area restaurants.

The tentative schedule for 2011-12 is:

Nov. 9: Café Baci

Dec. 8: Pelican Pointe

Jan 10, 2012: Stoneybrook Golf Club

Feb. 8, 2012: Palm Aire Country Club

March 8, 2012: River Strand Golf & Country Club

April 6, 2012: Venice Country Club
