Bradenton teen cyclist critically injured

Terry Freer, 15, of Bradenton is listed in critical condition at All Children's Hospital after a Monday accident in which his bicycle collided with a car at the intersection of 85th Street Court East and Linger Lodge Road in Bradenton.

A Florida Highway Patrol Report stated Freer was eastbound on Linger Lodge Road and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection, striking the right side of a 2006 Kia Spectra driven by Mryia Cadle, 24, of Bradenton. Freer was thrown to the pavement upon impact. He was wearing a helmet.

Cadle was not injured.
