Booker, SMA, Sarasota pick up FACA girls basketball honors

The Florida Athletic Coaches Association has doled out its district awards, and three Sarasota-area players and a coach were given honors. 

Sarasota Military Academy junior Hayley Walding was named the Class 5A Player of the Year, and SMA coach Robert Beckmann was named the Class 5A Coach of the Year. 

Booker senior Cellexia Foster was named the Class 6A Player of the Year. Foster was also 3rd in Senior All-Star Nomination voting. 

Sarasota senior Madison Pack was 2nd in Senior All-Star Nomination voting.
