Arts showcased in Lakewood Ranch

The arts will take center stage in Lakewood Ranch this weekend.

Schroeder-Manatee Ranch will host the ninth annual Grand Ovation event at Lakewood Ranch Main Street.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 6.

“Our schedule for both stages is full, and we are thrilled with the line-up of talented performers,” said event coordinator Rachel Gray. “We’re pleased to welcome some of our favorite groups from years past, as well as some new acts that will be joining us for the first time. We’re especially excited to have the Mote Marine Touch Tank back for again this year. There will be plenty to see and do. We’re certain everyone will have a wonderful time.”

Scheduled performers include the Curry Creek Cloggers, Florida Studio Theatre, the Lakewood Ranch Ballroom Dance Club, Sarasota Ballet, the School of Russian Ballet, Sarasota Folk Club and more.

There also will be displays from local schools and performing arts groups. 

Main Street will be closed to traffic during festival hours.
