A Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputy arrested a man on charges of stealing aluminum from the shop where he worked.

The deputy was on early morning patrol today when he saw a man run towards a pickup truck parked near Complete Aluminum, located in Sarasota County east of Interstate 75.

While the deputy questioned Travis Scott King, 27, of Sarasota, the man was sweating profusely and shaking, according to a Sarasota Sheriff's police report. It appeared that King had been placing aluminum from the storage yard at Complete Aluminum and loading it into his truck. King was placed under arrest. The owner of the aluminum shop confirmed that the metal was taken from the storage yard, and that King was a laborer at the shop.

King was charged with burglary of a business and possession of burglary tools. Police found several battery operated tools which appeared to have been used to cut up the aluminum for easy transport to the bed of his truck. A flashlight was also in King's pocket.

It was the twenty-fifth time King has been arrested.
