Factory Girl: Boutique binging

I found myself this week feeling a tad forlorn. I adore the holiday season, but the intensity of balancing work, family and proper gifting can leave one with a case of the holiday blues. Thus, I decided to spend my Tuesday indulging in the only therapy in which I participate: retail therapy.

I headed to downtown Sarasota, where I was looking to get lost in the intoxicating world of fashion. Whilst feeling textures of gorgeous creamy leather shoes at T. Georgiano's Shoe Salon, combing through racks of gorgeous sequined dresses at Fresh Boutique and trying on goddess-like, exotic cocktail rings at Bohemian Bliss, I could feel my holiday blues melting away.

I came home dreaming of sexy patent pumps, gorgeous leather skirts and flowing bohemian dresses. My day shopping in downtown Sarasota curbed my blues and reminded me that there are a plethora of fashion-forward, creative, stunning and trendy boutiques in our gorgeous little city. So girl, step away from the laptop, get off shop-bop and net-a-porter and start shopping LOCAL.
