Cops Corner

Oct. 10 Act your age 4 p.m. - 5100 block of Ocean Boulevard. Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer. A 50-year-old tourist was causing a disturbance in a bar, cursing at patrons and employees and throwing quarters at people. Deputies asked her to step outside, but she refused and cursed at them. They finally got her outside, but she refused to sit down or answer questions. She also continued to swear at them. She was arrested but refused to walk to a deputy's car. So, she was carried, at which time she kicked a deputy in the shin. At the jail, she also threatened to kick corrections officers.
