Sarasota Kiwanis Club made sure to personally thank local veterans with a special breakfast on Wednesday morning at Robarts Arena.
The Veterans Day breakfast included a presentation by local leaders including Mayor Willie Shaw, also a veteran. All veterans who served during the Vietnam War were invited up to the stage to receive a commemorative pin to recognize the 50th anniversary.
