Running through Oct 18, Sarasota art lovers celebrated the opening of the 7th annual Ringling International Arts Festival with performances from cutting-edge performers from Asia and North America, Bollywood dancing and fireworks.
The Ringling International Arts Festival opened Thursday, Oct. 15 with Asian art heights followed by Bollywood nights. Guests, art lovers and international artists enjoyed Champagne before watching opening night performances of either Phare: The Cambodian Circus, dancer Ronnarong Khampha, and the puppet wizardry of "Shank's Mare."
After a night of the best of Asian performance art, guests ventured over to the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art statue garden courtyard for hors d'oeuvre, drinks, fireworks and Bollywood dancing. RIAF 2015 runs through Sunday, Oct. 18 with performances by the above groups as well as Orkes Sinten Remen, Jen Shyu, Peni Candra Rini and Tao Dance Theater.
