Nearly 50 students participate in "Lion King Kids."
Simba’s roar echoed across the Nolan Middle School stage Feb. 1-2 as theater students brought the story to life with a production of “Lion King Kids,” a show based on Walt Disney’s 1994 film “The Lion King.”
Those who attended enjoyed songs such as "Hakuna Matata" as they watched the young Simba romp through the jungles with his friends, Pumbaa and Timon, and later return to the Pridelands to reclaim his role as king and restore balance to the circle of life.
Teacher Marilyn Branning said drama students selected the show in the fall and geared up over the last few weeks for performances. Nearly 50 children performed.
