Insanely fun run a success

Hundreds run in inflatable obstacle course.

Hundreds of runners from throughout Southwest Florida in the Insane Inflatable 5K Obstacle Course May 21, at Premier Sports Campus. Runners made their way over and through inflatable slides and other obstacles during a slippery, but fun run.

A group from the Florida Swimming Pool Association was ready to have fun.

Kayna Ruvalcaba, of Sarasota, and her friend Jessica Narez, of Bradenton, saw the event posted on Facebook.

Aurora Santiago, Andrea Padron, Ashley Tarver and Tia Blacketer were eager for some friendly competition.

Team "Sponge Bob Slow Pants" came all the way from Georgia to check this style of race off their "bucket list." Pictured are Lisa Jarvis, Wendy Carter, Sarah Parker, Janet Newton, Lorraine Green, Janet McAllister and Kari Kovach.

Kelsee and Maurena Rotering traveled from Lithia to participate.

Nolan Middle School students Sophia Vlasha and Ashley Geaglone said they participated because it looked fun.

Participants made their way across an assortment of inflatable obstacles, including this wet one.

Schroeder-Manatee Ranch's Amanda Zipperer, Laura Cole, Rachel Gray and Antonio Saviano were all smiles as they watched other participants get started.

Hannah White and her step-sister Stephanie White came from North Port.

Austin Jarrod and Kim Slimwise came from Venice to participate.

Katie Klotz, Melissa Yavalar, Ashley Grant, Magalie Grant, Amy Macher and Erin Vogel celebrate Magalie's upcoming wedding.

Hayden and Beth Henson hail from North Port.

Kalea Core wears herself out with warm up exercises before sitting on the lap of her mom, Jenna Bruno, for a rest.

Christi Napier, Joleen Bowman, Tammy Richardson and Amy White with her daughter, Kaylyn, 6, came from Pinellas County.

The Surf Pirate team came from Englewood. Team members Dana, Meghan and Madison Lutz also got to see relatives Bill and Nancy Lutz, who live in Tara, while in the area.
