Pauline and Bob Schroeder transformed their home into the S and S Charter Kindergarten on Friday, Nov. 5, for a fun fundraiser for the Longboat Island Chapel. Guests came as they might have appeared as students in kindergarten. Pigtails and pleated skirts were plentiful plus lots of knickers.

There was a warm welcome for all as members of Christ Church Presbyterian of Longboat Key gathered at The Shores on Friday, Nov. 5, for an informal evening. Organized by Sue Wertman, members enjoyed a potluck buffet and exchanged news of summer happenings.

It was a star-studded night at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church's seventh annual Cabaret Night held Thursday, Nov. 4, at Stella Maris Hall. "Songs We Remember" was the theme of the evening created by Music Director Michael Tucci.

Middle school students at Imagine School of Lakewood Ranch scared up a good time at a Halloween dance Oct. 22. Students grooved with their glowsticks to classics like Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and also enjoyed parent-provided treats of brownies, cupcakes, nachos and cookies.
