Choir students at Haile Middle School brought American classics to life during the "Haile to the Red, White and Blue: An Evening of American Music" Oct. 12 at the school.
Manatee Cancer Center on Oct. 12 hosted its first "Pink Martini Spa-tini" event at the Cancer Support Community. Festivities included free makeovers, mini manicures, spray tanning, chair massages, pink martinis and hors d'oeuvres and more.
Mote Aquarium cast out the net for potential volunteers on Wednesday, Oct. 12 and had more than a few nibbles. Around 60 candidates attended the volunteer recruitment coffee. Current volunteers spoke to the whole group about their positions and job responsibilities in hospitality, as guides, in fisheries and many more before meeting one-on-one with potential volunteers.
