River Club 1-year-old Leo Tassi has lots of interests that include basketball, cornhole, and mazes.
Lucky for him, all of those activities and more were available during the UTC Kids: Gameland at The Green Aug. 26 at University Town Center.
Sarah Tassi, Leo's mother, said bubbles and music were great touches to elevate the experience even more. She appreciates that the event is hosted once a month (on the fourth Wednesday).
"We love having activities close to home, especially drop in, especially free," Tassi said. "Now that my daughter is in school, I will definitely be bringing Leo to these events."
Lakewood Ranch's Julie Davis brought her two children — 8-year-old Lilly Davis and 8-month-old Dougie Davis. It was their first time and Julie was impressed with how many activities were available for free.
Lakewood Ranch's McKenzie Duquette also brought her two children — 1-year-old Rome Duquette and 2-month-old Lachlan Duquette — after stumbling across the event when shopping. Even her mom, Angela Maasdorp, was able to tag along for the fun.
"It just goes to show what kind of kid-focused community we live in," Duquette said.
