Wind, freeze, and red flag advisories issued for Sarasota

The National Weather Service has issued three separate advisories for Sarasota County.

Red Flag Warning
A red flag warning is in effect until Jan. 3,  7 p.m. A red flag warning is issued when conditions are favorable for the spread of wildfire.

Hard Freeze Watch
A hard freeze watch is in effect from until Jan 4, 9:00 a.m. Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid to upper 20s, with slightly warmer temperature along the coast. Near freezing temperatures are possible even along the coast. 

Wind Chill Advisory
A wind chill advisory is in effect until Jan. 3, 10 a.m. A wind chill advisory is issued when the wind chill index will drop to 35 degrees or lower. Residents are advised to dress warmly before venturing out
