MONDAY, MARCH 23

Pies and Pints — takes place from 8 to 10 p.m. at Shamrock Pub. $20.

Enjoy the kickoff of this new pizza and beer series from Polpo Pizza Co. and Shamrock Pub, in which local chefs collaborate with Polpo to create signature pizzas, which will be paired with bottomless pints of craft beer.

Chef Darwin Santa Maria of Darwin's on 4th is the first guest chef at tonight's event. Admission includes three different pizza servings and bottomless pints until 10 p.m.


TUESDAY, MARCH 24

Fly — takes place at  8 p.m. at Florida Studio Theatre. $18 to $39.

A powerful story of the fight and flight for freedom both abroad and at home, "Fly" follows four 
African-American military pioneers from training through WWII.

Proving themselves as officers and pilots, they paved the way for desegregation of the American military. A true tale of brotherhood, acceptance and equality.


WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25

Brews for Briantakes place at 7 p.m. at Mandeville Beer Garden. Free.

This grand opening party will benefit the Brian Bill Foundation, which honors the legacy and service of fallen Navy SEAL Brian Robert Bill and his teammates, who were killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011.

Attendees can enjoy the 30 beers on tap and a raffle featuring prizes such as a US Navy SEAL Ka-Bar knife with display case and a half-day fishing charter in Islamorada. DJ Maverick from 106.5 CTQ will be playing festive tunes, and there will be swag and other free samples.


THURSDAY, MARCH 26

Ringling Underground — takes place at 8 p.m. at The Ringling. $10; $5 for children under 18 and free for students or children younger than 6.  

The live-music and art showcase series continues with music by Sarasota duo Lady and Gentleman, Orlando-based solo soul act Maximino and Washington D.C.-based psych-pop band Young Rapids.

Don't miss "Re:Purposed," the featured exhibition, which features the work of contemporary artists who reuse discarded materials to create art.


FRIDAY, MARCH 27

Friday Night Fights — takes place at 6:30 p.m. at Robarts Arena. $25 to $125.

This one-night-only event features two WBF-sanctioned title fights. China Smith will defend his world heavyweight title, and Aaron Jaco will contend for the super middleweight title. Local MMA fighter Eric Reynolds will also make his professional debut at the event, which features a total of six professionals fights.

The event will benefit the Newtown 100-Year Centennial, Big Cat Habitat and Big Brothers Big Sisters.


SATURDAY, MARCH 28

Caravan de Burlesque — takes place at 8 p.m. at Cock and Bull Pub. $15.

Enjoy a night under the stars and around the bonfire, where Black Diamond Burlesque's gypsies,mystics and exotics will delight audiences with a seductive performance.

Other attractions include guest performers, henna tattooing, fortune telling and beers from Big Top Brewing Company.


SUNDAY, MARCH 29

Hoppy Easter Beer Brunch — takes place at 11 a.m. at Motorworks Brewing Co. Free.

Celebrate Easter with this beer brunch at Motorworks.

Enjoy $1 off drafts between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at this beer garden, which features 30 taps, cornhole boards bocce ball courts, a putting green and food trucks.
