WEEKEND BEST BET: Music on Main

Music lovers or individuals seeking fresh air and a night out will converge from 6 to 9 p.m., Aug. 1 for First Friday festivities on Lakewood Ranch Main Street.

As part of the monthly celebration, Music on Main will feature Kettle of Fish, which will play rock 'n' roll and blues music for attendees, while food and beverage carts line the block.

Proceeds from the event will benefit United Way of Manatee County.

Attendees should bring chairs, but are prohibited from bringing cooler. Dogs are welcome, but on a short leash.
