WEEKEND BEST BET: Just Play Sports Fest

The Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch will host Saturday the Just Play Sports Fest.

The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will include a backyard tailgate party with live music from local bands and food for purchase. There also wil be interactive games and contests, cornhole and pong tournaments and a raffle.

Entry costs $8 for adults, $3 for youth and free for children ages 5 and younger. 

Proceeds from the event benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
