Water charges change

The Longboat Key Town Commission approved modifications to water utility account charges and penalties at its Monday, May 4 regular meeting that affect all water account users.

Changes were made, in part, because the town has seen an increase in the number of delinquent utility accounts. The changes also allow the town manager to develop payment plans for customers who are behind on their bills and have cases of extreme financial hardship.
