Water advisory lifted for three beaches

Residents and visitors can now return to the waters at three local beaches.

The Sarasota County Health Department lifted a beach water advisory for Lido, Turtle and North Jetty beaches Saturday afternoon after water samples showed that levels of enterococci bacteria were at levels that meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state recreational water standards.

According to a prepared statement from the Health Department, warning signage will be removed.
