Village streets repavement planned for this year

Repavement of several streets in the Longbeach Village will begin in late summer or early fall, according to Longbeach Village Association President Michael Drake, who updated residents about plans at the association’s meeting last week.

The town will repave Broadway and the area on south Lois Avenue to the town boat ramp.

The project was originally planned for spring but was pushed back to allow the town to repair leakage in some areas of pavement.

Replacement of the boat ramp is scheduled to begin around May 15.
