Village Bikes moving to Main

Lakewood Ranch Commercial Realty today announced Village Bikes will be moving to a storefront on Lakewood Ranch Main Street.

The bicycle shop will open its doors Dec. 1 in space J108-J109.

“It came down to visibility that the special events draw,” owner Ed Levins said, noting Main Street events such as the farmer’s market. “We are excited (about the move.)”

Levin said the new location will be open on Sundays, but will not include the coffee bar it has currently.

The store offers bicycles of all types, associated equipment and accessories and cycling clothing. It also hosts local group bike rides from both its Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota locations.

The Lakewood Ranch store has been located in Lake Osprey Plaza for the last five years.
