Sarasota County deputies arrested a Venice man for stabbing 22-year-old Paul Damiano in the back Sunday, Sept. 1.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office today charged 18-year-old Jake McCauley with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon without intent to kill for the incident that occured during a party in the 500 block of Sarabay Drive. Damiano was transported by Bayflite to Blake Medical Center.
Detectives learned the injuries could have been life threatening or left Damiano paralzyed, but the 22-year-old recovered and was discharged, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
