The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has reported a rash of vehicle burglaries in the Waterlefe community.

At least 10 unlocked vehicles were entered sometime overnight between March 19 and March 20. Burglaries occurred on Maritime Court, 116th Street Court Northeast, Whooping Crane Court and Big Bass Place.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dave Bristow said miscellaneous property, such as loose change and sunglasses, were taken.

“Lock your cars. That’s the moral of the story,” Bristow said.

There currently are no leads in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 747-3011.
