A month after Sarasota city commissioners denied the proposal for a Walmart Supercenter at Ringling Shopping Center, tenants discovered anti-Wal-Mart graffiti in the property’s parking lot April 3.

Jason Geers, manager of DG Ace Hardware, said the neon orange spray-paint on a white truck in the parking lot must have appeared overnight. Profane messages demeaning the company fill two sides of the truck’s trailer.
