Two bedroom Peppertree Bay condo sells for $579,000

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between July 30 and Aug. 2.

A condominium in Peppertree Bay tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Betty Platnick, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the Unit 505A condominium at 1080 Peppertree Lane to Philip and Barbara Meltzer, of Hewlett, N.Y., for $579,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,105 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $255,000 in 1996.

Siesta Manor
Tracy Seider, of Sarasota, sold her home at 395 Avenida Milano to David and Leslie Housman, of Westminster, Colo., for $535,000. Built in 1962, it has four bedrooms, three baths and 2,064 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $142,500 in 1988.

Point O’ Rocks Terrace
Suncastle Properties LLC sold the home at 1127 Crescent St. to Deon and Amy Wolff, of Famington, Minn., for $525,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 2,279 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $210,000 in 2001.

Peppertree Bay
Michael and Lois Mayer sold their Unit 222 condominium at 1219 E. Peppertree Drive to Michael and Deanna Adell, of Lemont, Ill., for $510,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,180 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $445,000 in 2005.

Siesta Isles
Louis and Denise Colosimo, of Fairfield, Conn., sold their home at 749 Canal Road to Brian Oswald and Caroline Ulvert, of Sarasota, for $510,000. Built in 1974, it has four bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,968 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $430,000 in 2003.

Siesta Beach
Samuel and Beverly Mendicino sold their home at 752 Tropical Circle to Tim Tuengerthal, of Sarasota, for $500,000. Built in 1978, it has four bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,100 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $687,500 in 2008.

Whispering Sands
Rosanne Francis and Linda Vanek, trustees, of Sun City Center, sold the Unit 202 condominium at 19 Whisperings Sands Drive to Samuel and Paula Kline, of Scituate, Mass., for $450,000. Built in 1973, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,282 square feet of living area.

Siesta’s Bayside
Helene Hyland, of Sarasota, sold her home at 767 Birdsong Lane to A-1 Properties LLC for $400,000. Built in 1973, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,552 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $395,000 in 2002.

Harbor Towers Yacht and Racquet Club
Christy Sadler and Abigail Shneider sold their Unit 528 condominium at 5855 Midnight Pass Road to Daniel and Janet Lundy, of Riverside, Conn., for $350,000. Built in 1976, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,593 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $165,000 in 1994.

Midnight Cove
Jeannette Yates, of Sarasota, sold her Unit 512 condominium at 6304 Midnight Cove Road to John and Barbara Rumschik and Amy Rumschik, of E. Amherst, N.Y., for $260,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 860 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $96,000 in 1985.
