The Sarasota High football team committed five first-half turnovers, which proved to be too much to overcome, as the visiting Sailors fell to St. Petersburg 56-21 in their spring game May 24.

Sarasota scored on its initial possession when quarterback Caulin McNeal punched the ball in from a yard out to cap off an 80-yard drive. McNeal completed eight passes for 120 yards.

Sailors running back Marque Upshaw rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
