Town of Longboat Key celebrates "City Hall Selfie Day"

Town employees rarely get the glory, but City Hall Selfie Day on Aug. 13 brought them front-and-center with a series of first-person photos highlighting several departments throughout the town. 

From the IT department reaching out of computer screens to the public works department taking a sky-high selfie from a Dur-A-Lift, public safety information officer Tina Adams documented it all on the town's social media.

Departments sent in snapshots of their day to highlight the work they do and the people who do it. The underground-utilities team sent one in from one of their roadside trucks and the fire department posed on a truck to send in their picture. 

Town Manager Tom Harmer, who was away on business, make a two-dimensional appearance in one of the photos.
