Tiny's to close at end of March

Tiny’s of Longboat Key will close March 31 after nearly three decades on Longboat Key.

According to owner Dave Vaught, who bought the bar with his wife, Susie, who died in January, in December 2008, the decision came as the result of declining sales.

The bar will remain open from 3 p.m. to close, Monday through Saturday, until March 31 and will hold its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration beginning at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow.
