Theater students explore pop culture

Tunes from 'On the Town' and 'Grease' can be heard tonight.

Lakewood Ranch High School theater students will bring 100 years of pop culture to life tonight with a newly created show, “Pop through the StAges: A Cabaret Show for the History Books.”

Working with drama teacher, Roxane Caravan, students researched pop culture and helped develop the show, which runs at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and Dec. 10, at Lakewood Ranch High School, 5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Lakewood Ranch.

The performance features scenes from musicals such as “On the Town,” “Grease” and “Hair.”

Admission is $5.
