The Longboat Key Shuttle begins service on Saturday April 15

The Longboat Key Shuttle begins service on Saturday, April 15.

This on-demand service will replace MCAT’s Longboat Key Trolley. It will be available between Bay Isles Road and Coquina Beach.

Residents and visitors can access this curb-to-curb service on local streets or at existing bus stops along the Gulf Drive/Gulf of Mexico Drive corridor.

To use the service, passengers must reserve a trip by 5 p.m. the day before they travel.

Shuttle fare is $1.50 per trip.

SCAT will continue to operate Route 18, though the route will no longer provide service between Bay Isles and Coquina Beach. Route 18 will only provide service between Bay Isles Road and downtown Sarasota. 

A subscription service is available for passengers who want to schedule multiple trips. A pre-paid fare option is also available.
