TBI hits high note with opera night

As usual, it was standing-room only for Temple Beth Israel Men’s Club’s “Night at the Opera” Feb. 23. Performers were Studio Artists of the Sarasota Opera.

Dr. David Solomon introduced the varied program, which featured selected works by Mozart, Bellini, Verdi, Puccini and others. The program closed with an encore from “Tales of Hoffmann.”

The audience members applauded enthusiastically at the end of the program, and following the performance the singers joined them for light refreshments.
