To help reduce costs to families as the new school year approaches, the Florida Legislature again has passed the Florida Sales Tax Holiday, which will run Aug. 12-14.

During this time, there is no sales tax on most clothing and school supplies. School items under the exemption include binders, calculators, rulers, scissors, highlighters, legal pads, lunch boxes, notebook paper, pens and pencils and more, if sold for $15 or less.
