The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding several newspaper boxes that were removed from their East County locations and damaged.

A sheriff’s office report states three newspaper couriers waved down a deputy on Dec. 18 and advised him of seven newspaper boxes located on the side of the road at 300 Kay Road.

The boxes were damaged, and the coins had been removed. They had been taken from four different locations, including the intersection of State Road 64 and Rye Road, 800 Kay Road, 575 66th St. Ct. E., and an unknown location, the report states.

The deputy collected the boxed and placed them into evidence.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (866) 634-8477.
