The Manatee County School District is holding a community engagement forum for Student Advisory Council (SAC) chairs and members at Lakewood Ranch High School Tuesday night.

From 6 p.m. to 8 pm. in the Lakewood Ranch High School Media Center, 5500 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, Bradenton, Superintendent Rick Mills, School Board Chairwoman Julie Aranibar and other district staff will talk about state audits reports, teacher evaluations, the Common Core State Standards and personnel, among other topics.

As a way to promote communication and transparency with the public, the district rolled out the forums — meetings for parents, School Advisory Council members and district staff to discuss the state of the schools — this academic year.
