One of Lakewood Ranch’s newest businesses is bringing a taste of its Anna Maria heritage to Main Street.

The Main Street Bazaar, which opened April 30, boasts an eclectic mix of offerings with everything from sandals and T-shirts to toys, gag gifts, glass figurines and other novelty items.

“We have so many different things almost everyone can find something they like,” store manager Kristen Martin said.

The shop’s most popular items to date are its Sanuk brand sandals, which are made of a yoga matt material as well as its Reefs brand sandals. Martin said the shop plans to expand its offerings of both varieties starting in October in preparation for the holiday shopping season. The bazaar also will be expanding its clothing line, she said.

“We’re still changing, trying to get what people want,” Martin said. “Always fun stuff, though.”

On a typical day, guests also can meet Martin’s Italian greyhound, Reddi, when they visit the store.

The shop is owned by Jacob Spooner, who also pened The Fish Hole Adventure Golf on Main Street about two months ago.
