St. Armands Circle is gearing up for a busy season.

Throughout October, the St. Armands Circle Association plans three events for visitors and residents.

First, the Sun Coast Jaguar Club 32nd Annual Concours d’Elegance, presented by Wilde Jaguar Sarasota, will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. The free event will feature displays of various Jaguar automobiles from across the country, including vintage antiques, current classics, displays of future models and competition-modified prototypes.

Vehicles will be judged in a variety of classes. Judging will be completed by 3 p.m., and winners will be announced by 4 p.m. at St. Armands Circle Park, where the event takes place.

The following weekend will bring a different mode of transportation to the Circle -- boats.

The St. Armands Boat Show, sponsored by Cannons Marina, will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 21 and 22. The show will display new models from Grady-White Boats and Yamaha Outboards.

“We love St. Armands Circle and we are honored to have the opportunity to showcase our boats at this phenomenal location,” David Miller, co-owner of Cannons Marina said in a press release. “I couldn’t think of a more fun place for a boat show, with St. Armands’ shopping and dining combined with our boats, there will be something there for everyone in the family.”

Representatives from Cannons Marina will be present to answer questions.

Bringing the month to a close is Fright Night on St. Armands from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.

The 9th annual event will feature decorated store fronts, frightening characters and decorated statues. Children can wear their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat at stores around the Circle. The Sarasota High School Drama Department will end the night with a performance of the classic Michael Jackson music video “Thriller” around 8 p.m.

The annual Taste of St. Armands was postponed until Jan. 20, 2018 because of Hurricane Irma.
