Special surprise

A charity dinner was not on the top of Terri Klauber’s list of things she was thrilled about doing after returning from an extensive trip to South Africa with the Gulf Coast Connoisseur Club. However, upon arrival and a roar of “Surprise!,” Terri realized she had arrived at her own birthday party (and first surprise party!). The evening, planned sneakily by husband Michael and his daughter Molly Klauber was only complete with surprise guests Erin Hudson, Terri’s sister from Atlanta, her Aunt Jess from Naples and son Chad Crews and his girlfriend Alana Mann, who came in from Brooklyn.

More than 80 guest enjoyed Michael’s On East fare, dancing and a cake that weighed nearly 50 pounds — to mark the celebration of Terri’s 50th birthday.

Terri’s actual birthday fell on Aug. 15, and she celebrated with dinner at Londolozi Game Reserve, in South Africa.
